The Boston & Maine Branchline called "The Ashuelot" may not be in our real world but it lives in my miniature world here in Florida and will continue to do so for a long time! It starts off my dual track mainline on the B&M at Keene, and continues 24.5 HO scale miles to Dole Junction. It took 4 years for the Mainline B&M and 6, so far, for the Ashuelot.

HERE RUNS A CLOCK THAT NEVER EVER MAKES A SOUND

B&M Steamer # 1495, an old 2-6-0 "Mogul" waits by Hinsdale Station for some hoppers to be dropped off from the mainline just west of Dole Junction in this arial view from a hot air baloon

It is the warm Spring of early 1954 as the Diesel Era takes over from the old Steam "Splinter Fleets"

Note the old D&H purchased by the B&M in the background parked in a siding and still painted it its old Delaware & Hudson Colors before it was converted at the engine shops where they were painted & refurbished
